A D’Andre Swift touchdown late in the second quarter was all that saved them from a first-half shutout.But in front of 93,246 fans, Georgia would not be denied. They took the lead in the third quarter on a pair of Rodrigo Blankenship field goals.Fromm then led Georgia to a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass to Lawrence Cager. Another drive capped off by a Blankenship field goal made it 23-10. A Notre Dame touchdown late in the fourth made the final score 23-17.Their win against the highly-touted Fighting Irish helped the Bulldogs maintain a No. 3 ranking in the AP poll. The game took place in front of the largest crowd ever at Sanford Stadium, and it’s hard to deny that the crowd noise didn’t play a factor in the win.Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Fromm thanked the Georgia fans who attended the game.
