first_img Dimitri Payet – Transfer value INCREASED – Payet was announced as UEFA’s official Player of the Tournament after three goals at Euro 2016 to take France to the final. Although West Ham are adamant Payet will stay at the club, there could be some big-money bids for the forward after his performances during the Championships. 16 Paul Pogba – Value DROPPED (click the arrow, right, to see whose transfer value has increased and whose has decreased post-Euro 2016) – While Manchester United are willing to pay £100m for Pogba, Real Madrid are not, which tells you that he didn’t live up to his pre-tournament hype. He had a few good games after being dropped following France’s opening game but looked far from the world’s first £100m player in the final. Radja Nainggolan – Transfer value INCREASED – Chelsea were chasing the Belgium midfielder but they may have to pay Roma a bit extra after Nainggolan’s performances. The 28-year-old scored twice, including a stunner against Wales. 16 16 16 Mario Gotze – Transfer value DROPPED – Played as a ‘false nine’ in the absence of a recognised striker, Gotze failed to stand out in France and would have seen his value drop. Liverpool and Tottenham are leading the race for the Bayern Munich man with Ancelotti not certain to keep him. Antoine Griezmann – Transfer value INCREASED – Six goals have seen Griezmann’s stock rise even higher over the summer and could tempt the likes of Chelsea to stump up a huge fee to prize him away from Atletico Madrid, despite the fact the Frenchman recently signed a new deal. Alvaro Morata – Transfer value DROPPED – Morata did manage three goals but on the whole, like Spain, was fairly disappointing. Two of his goals came in the thrashing of Turkey in the group stages and although Real Madrid brought him back to the Bernabeu, they may not receive as much for selling him on to the likes of Chelsea or Arsenal as they would have hoped. Emanuele Giaccherini – Transfer value INCREASED – He can’t even get into the Sunderland team, but Giaccherini proved a vital cog in Antonio Conte’s Italian machine. The Black Cats are keen to sell the Italian and will be delighted with his performances which would have added a few million pounds to his price tag. 16 Harry Kane – Transfer value DROPPED – Kane was linked with Manchester United prior to the Euros but after a disastrous tournament in which he failed to find the net and took terrible set pieces, his value will have fallen in the eyes of potential suitors. With the Liverpool playmaker living up to his tag as the ‘Welsh Pirlo’. Sevilla and Swansea are both interested as it seems Jurgen Klopp is willing to let Allen leave, although is likely to get a lot more for him than he would have at the start of the summer. 16 16 16 16 16 Robert Lewandowski – Transfer value DROPPED – Lewandowski was hyped as one of the contenders for the golden boot but he failed to register a shot on target for the entirety of the group stages. His value will have rocketed as he plans his escape route from relegated Newcastle and he has previously stated he would like to play for Arsenal. Leonardo Bonucci – Transfer value INCREASED – After winning yet another Serie A title with Juventus, Bonucci’s value was already high, even before he starred in the tournament’s best defensive unit. Manchester City have already seen a £38m bid rejected for the centre back and with Chelsea expected to join the race then he could go for as much as £50m. Romelu Lukaku – Transfer value DROPPED – Lukaku was being linked with £60m moves to Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich but after a series of disappointing performances and some poor finishing against Wales and Italy, Everton will do amazingly well to get near that fee for him now. 16 16 16 Ricardo Rodriguez – Transfer value DROPPED – Rodriguez was tipped to make an impact at Euro 2016 after being linked with a move to Arsenal. However, he failed to create too much despite playing every minute of Switzerland’s journey to the last 16, where they were dumped out on penalties. 16 Julian Draxler – Transfer value INCREASED – Draxler had a fine Euro 2016 on the wing for Germany and scored during the 3-0 win against Slovakia.
