first_imgJack Kastle and Nadine Scott Kastle Peterson.Jack Kastle, 95, and Nadine Scott Kastle Peterson, 94, died in Wellington, July 21, 2015 and July 24, 2015 respectively after short illnesses.They are survived by two daughters, Shirley M. Theurer and husband, Richard, of rural Wellington and Arlene S. Duston and husband, Jim of Glendale, Arizona; six grandchildren — Mike Duston and wife Stephanie of Phoenix, Ariz.; Scott Duston and wife Mandy of Goodyear, Ariz.; Matt Theurer and wife Lea, Luke Theurer and wife Amy, Clint Theurer and fiancé Kiersen Howell, all of rural South Haven, and Dixie Theurer Russell and husband Stephen of rural Paxico, Kans. and 10 great grandchildren — Rylee and Reese Duston of Phoenix, Ariz.; Cannon Duston of Goodyear, Ariz.; Colby and Ethan Theurer, Jacee and Kelly Theurer, and John Henry Theurer, all of South Haven, Kans. Corbin and Kirwin Russell of Paxico, Kans. Jack spent his life farming in the Kirwin and Woodston area until he planted his last wheat crop at the age of 85 and moved to South Haven to be close to family in 2007. He especially enjoyed checking out the progress of his grandsons’ farming and cattle operations.Nadine grew up and raised their children in the Caldwell/Kirwin area and moved to Salina in 1974 where she worked at several occupations until her retirement at the age of 80. Nadine married Glenn Peterson in 1993 in Las Vegas and they made their home in Salina for 17 years until his death in 2010 when she moved to Wellington to be close to family.last_img
