The Center for NeuroGenetics at the University of Florida(UF) College of Medicine invites applications for TWOtenure/tenure-track positions at the ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE orFULL PROFESSOR level. We seek outstanding investigators in thefollowing areas: 1) neurological disease mechanisms and therapeuticdevelopment with an emphasis on genomic repetitive sequences(transposons, retrotransposons, micro and minisatellite repeats);2) RNA and ribonucleoprotein complex (RNP) biochemistry with acurrent/future focus on central nervous system function andneurological disease. The Center has active research programs inhuman, mouse, and Drosophila genetics together withexpertise in gene discovery, RNA biochemistry and structuralbiology, protein biochemistry, genome editing and computationalbiology, and is housed in the University of Florida GeneticsInstitute with contemporary facilities for bioinformatics, genomicsand proteomics. In addition to being an active member of theCenter, the primary academic appointment will be in a relevantdepartment (e.g., Departments of Molecular Genetics andMicrobiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Neurology,Neuroscience or Pharmacology and Therapeutics).
